The Hague Countdown will return to the Hofvijver on 31 December 2026 with a spectacular light and laser show and a line-up of artists from The Hague. The first few minutes of 2027 will be heralded in with a festive and musical celebration!

Once again this year, The Hague will come together at the Hofvijver for the Hague Countdown: an atmospheric, fireworks-free New Year’s Eve celebration featuring local artists, light shows and a communal countdown to 2027. With an impressive light and laser show above the water, a stellar line-up and a warm, festive atmosphere, this is the ultimate way to ring in the New Year in The Hague.

Counting down at the Hague Hofvijver to 2027
The highlight of the evening takes place at midnight, when the audience counts down to the new year together with Mayor Jan van Zanen. Immediately after, an impressive light and laser show illuminates the Hofvijver, marking the transition to the new year in a modern and sustainable way.

The Hague Countdown Moment is completely fireworks-free. This allows you to relax and enjoy the music, lights, lasers, and the unique atmosphere of thousands of people welcoming the new year together.

Around the Hofvijver you’ll find various food and beverage stands offering warm and cold drinks, small bites, and other treats. Everything you need for a comfortable evening is available on-site.
