Street art and Delft Blue come together in the exhibition Urban Blue – from Bricks to Tiles at the Royal Delft Museum.

Two worlds collide at the Royal Delft Museum: the craftsmanship of Delft Blue and the energy of international street art. The exhibition Urban Blue – from Bricks to Tiles is a collaboration between the Royal Delft Museum and STRAAT museum Amsterdam.

Six artists from different parts of the world were inspired by Delft's ceramic craftsmanship. Claudio Limon (Mexico), Keya Tama (South Africa), Madi (France), Ryol (Indonesia), Speto (Brazil) and Tja Ling Hu (Netherlands) translated the rich tradition into a contemporary, urban visual language.

The exhibition demonstrates how craftsmanship and innovation come together in colourful works of art in which ceramics and street art reinforce each other.
