From morning coffee to nightspot De Zwarte Ruiter has been the heart of The Hague's Grote Markt since 1988. You come for the coffee, the beers on the terrace and for a good plate of food. And you stay for the music.
Always free entry. For 30 years, every weekend at the Zwarte Ruiter, you've seen bands play the breasts out of their holders and the balls out of their trousers. From Wodan Boys to Prince S. and The Goat, from Stake to The Opposites. The stage shelves are saturated with sweat from bands from The Hague like Di-Rect, The Deaf and Son Mieux, who played their first shows at the Ruiter.
