Mondrian & The Stijl

Exactly 100 years ago, the Dutch art movement De Stijl was established and Piet Mondrian is its most important representative. That is why in 2017, the Netherlands will celebrate a festive year, 'Mondrian to Dutch Design' and The Hague is sparing no expense in organising numerous exhibitions and activities related to the famous artist and the influential art movement. The central hub of all this is naturally the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag with the largest Mondrian collection in the world.

Museums for kids

The Hague has an amazing number of museums where you can take the kids out for an afternoon. Many of the museums offer self-guided tours and scavenger hunts as well as workshops where the kids can go to work and make their own handicrafts.
