The BeachClean & Workout is more than just a stroll on the sand! It is a free outdoor session where we work together toward a cleaner beach, a stronger body, and a clearer mind. By combining litter picking with natural movement, you’ll give a boost to both yourself and the environment.

What to Expect?

Led by a professional Pullka trainer and a "Green Beach" guide, you will head out to the Noorderstrand (North Beach) in a small group. During the session, you’ll collect washed-up debris while practicing Pullka—an innovative beach sport where you pull a weighted sled across the sand. Along the way, you’ll learn about the local coastal ecosystem and discover what belongs on our shores and what doesn’t.

When & How to Join

Sessions take place on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings during the Christmas holidays and beyond.
Schedule: Check this link for the most up-to-date calendar. You can sign up for a single session or join us multiple times!

Choose Your Level

After a brief introduction, choose one of the following options:

  • Pullka – Pull a sledge behind you using a harness. This option is ideal for those who enjoy an active challenge. If you like, you can do some extra strength exercises along the way.
  • Bucket & litter pickers – Enjoy a relaxing walk along the beach whilst helping to keep it clean. Collect litter with a bucket and litter pickers and do your bit for a cleaner coastline.

Good to Know

  • Families: Children aged 5 and up are very welcome (must be accompanied by an adult).
  • Age Limit: The Pullka equipment is available for participants aged 16 and older.
  • Cost: This activity is completely free, thanks to the municipality of The Hague (Gemeente Den Haag). Your contribution? A cleaner beach and a healthy dose of positive energy!
