Sinterklaas (St. Nicholas) and the 'pieten' will arrive in Scheveningen Harbour again with the steamboat full of presents, pepernoten and other goodies. After the festive reception in the harbour, Sinterklaas and his pete's will ride through the shopping streets of The Hague.

The above times are guidelines, depending on crowds, the procession may pass a little earlier or later. Please note! This year, the carriage tour will not pass along Keizerstraat.

Harbour accessibility

Due to crowds during the parade, people are advised to leave their cars at home and opt for cycling or public transport. Those arriving by public transport can choose between various tram and bus lines from The Hague Central Station and Hollands Spoor towards Scheveningen.

Arrival of Sinterklaas in Scheveningen

Start at 10:00 am with the reception of Sinterklaas in Scheveningen harbour. Waiting children and parents will be treated to various performances. Around 11:15 am, the 070 packet boat enters the harbour and Saint Nicholas and his helpers wave to the children from the deck. As every year, Sinterklaas will be officially received by the mayor and Spanish Ambassador Mr Fernando Arias González.
