Podium by the sea is the vibrant centre of live music, events and culture in Scheveningen. The podium aims to increase the programming and creative climate for the region of The Hague, to innovate and make it accessible to a wide audience and to bring more (young) people into contact with culture.
Podium Aan Zee strives for structural cooperation with schools (primary and secondary education), culture providers, culture stages, role models for young talents, music organisations, music festivals, culture anchors, producers and other partners in the music industry.
The YMCA Music Centre at 58 Keizerstraat is the home base. The concert hall can accommodate 200 visitors standing, or 100 visitors sitting. A professional sound and lighting installation as well as a full backline are part of the permanent inventory. Every genre comes into its own here live.

The Old Church
An atmospheric, historic stage location at Keizerstraat 8. The Oude Kerk has fantastic acoustics and can accommodate around 550 visitors. In festival form (in and around the church), the capacity increases automatically. The styles traditional (Irish et cetera), classical, jazz, musical and light music are at their best here.
The Pier
Who does not know this venue, uniquely located in the sea opposite the Kurhaus? The visitor capacity for programmes and festivals at the Pier is 1750 visitors. This location is exceptionally suitable for any genre of music. The experience experienced over the sea is unforgettable.
TrashUre Hunt
Every summer, environmental organisation TrashUre Hunt has a fixed base station on the beach, off Keizerstraat. Here, various activities and clean-ups are carried out for the benefit of Scheveningen's nature reserves. The site lends itself ideally to acoustic performances and talent presentations.
