Simultaneously enjoy a film and a delicious dinner, exactly in sync with the protagonist. Experience the film with all your senses. What You See is What You Eat. That's Cinema Culinary!

Good film, Good food én Great timing!

A unique film experience with delicious food

At Cinema Culinair, you enjoy film+dinner in various cities such as Rotterdam, Amsterdam and now also The Hague! With a large movie screen, good sound and delicious dishes prepared by chef Anja Sluijs. After the reception, the lights are dimmed and the film starts. Thirty seconds before each eating moment in the film, everyone gets the same dish. Then a banner appears on screen counting down: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and taste it. We do that about six to seven times in the film. Seeing what you eat. Eat what you see.

Good Film

At Cinema Culinair, several films will be shown, with the audience favourite being the film Chef. Other films include The Grand Budapest Hotel, Burnt, Le pot au feu and Het Regent Gehaktballen (kids). The films are mostly English spoken and subtitled in Dutch.

Good food
Besides good film, good food is also of great importance at Cinema Culinair. Chef Anja Sluijs prepares the dishes as accurately as possible as from the film. Because: what you see, is what you eat!

Great timing
Cinema Culinair's culinary script is guiding the chef and waiters. The punch line is in great timing. An example. In the film CHEF, when Chef Carl Casper eats his homemade Cubano at 1 hour, 14 minutes and 53 seconds, they want the guests to be able to taste this dish simultaneously. A minute earlier or later determines the difference between good and fan-tas-tastic! Ultimately, it's about not just seeing or hearing that film, but also tasting and feeling it.
