NN Marathon The Hague
On Sunday 1 November 2026, The Hague will be transformed into one huge sports festival during the first edition of the NN Marathon The Hague. Runners from across the Netherlands and abroad will make their way through the city, along the coast and through the Westland region. The event promises to become a new sporting highlight in the Netherlands.
Distances at the NN Marathon The Hague
The event features a range of races for both competitive runners and recreational runners:
Marathon – 42.195 kilometres
The NN Marathon The Hague connects the city with the coast in a single, unique route. Starting at the Malieveld, you’ll run through various neighbourhoods of The Hague towards the Westland region. You’ll return to the heart of The Hague via the Scheveningen promenade, finishing at the Malieveld.
The Hague 10K – 10 kilometres
The NN The Hague 10K is for anyone who wants to experience the power of moving together. Whether you’re aiming for a fast time or simply want to enjoy the atmosphere: this is your race.
The Hague 5K – 5 kilometres
The Asics x PassaRunning The Hague 5K is the perfect way to take part in the NN Marathon The Hague. An accessible run full of energy, fun and atmosphere. Whether you’re running your first few kilometres, joining in with friends or simply want to enjoy the event: everyone is welcome at the start.
NN Kids Run powered by gro-up 2.5 kilometres
The 2.5-kilometre race offers young runners just that little bit of extra challenge. In The Hague and the Westland region, children build self-confidence, enjoy sport and gain new experiences, step by step. This is where the foundations are laid for an active future.
NN Kids Run powered by gro-up 1 kilometre
During the NN Kids Run powered by gro-up, children discover how much fun exercise is. The 1-kilometre race is perfect for young participants who want to get to know running in a playful way. Fun, energy and exercising together are at the heart of it.
NN The Hague 4ALL
NN The Hague 4ALL makes it possible for people with disabilities to take part in the NN Marathon The Hague. With an accessible route and space for runners of all paces, it’s all about exercising, enjoying the experience and connecting together.

Start and finish at the Malieveld
The Malieveld will be the beating heart of the NN Marathon The Hague. The start and finish of the event are located at the Malieveld. Changing facilities, lockers and toilets are also available at the event site.
How to get to the NN Marathon The Hague?
The start/finish of the NN Marathon The Hague takes place at the Malieveld. The NN Marathon The Hague is expected to attract tens of thousands of participants and visitors. Due to the crowds, the organisers and the council advise you to travel by bike or public transport.
Are you coming to the NN Marathon The Hague by train? It’s a five-minute walk from Central Station to the Malieveld. There is a bicycle park next to the festival site on the Malieveld.
Are you coming to cheer someone on?
Then make sure you arrive well in advance to get a good spot. From 12 noon, the HTM will be making way for the CPC Run and some trams will be diverted. Are you coming by car after all? Park your car on the outskirts of the city in one of the multi-storey car parks or P+R locations.
