Simone Pormes Band
Musicon in The Hague hosts the Simone Pormes Band for a seated jazz concert. The programme includes jazz, R&B, bossa nova and samba, with music from her vinyl album Sua melodia.
Simone Pormes is a lead vocalist and composer with an impressive track record. She has worked as a backing vocalist alongside artists such as Al Jarreau, Trijntje Oosterhuis and the Metropole Orkest. She is also a member of The Royal Dutch Scam, keeping the music of Steely Dan alive. With her own band, she puts a different side of her musicality centre stage: her own compositions in a Brazilian style.
Sua melodia: jazz and bossa nova on vinyl
Her vinyl album Sua melodia features original compositions rooted in Brazilian traditions like bossa nova and samba, blended with jazz and R&B. The album was released recently and forms the heart of this concert. For now, the music is only available on vinyl; a digital release will follow later. This concert is a great opportunity to hear Sua melodia live at Musicon in The Hague.
