Get a breath of fresh air on the beach or in the Meijendel dunes

The visitor center De Tapuit, the Meijendel pancake-farm and the Monkeybos children's playground are located in the middle of nature reserve Meijendel. Thanks to the many cycling, walking and riding trails, the dunes of Meijendel are ideal for enjoying the Dutch nature at a stone's throw from the city.

Enjoy the beaches of The Hague all year round! Walk or cycle down the boulevard in the direction of Scheveningen Haven and enjoy fresh fish or a drinks at the terrace with view on the boats and fishingboats. For the children it's always fun on the beach, go collecting shells or build a sand castle if it's too cold for a swim. Sports enthusiasts can also do enough on the coast! For example, you can skateboard (you will find even a skate ramp on the beach), run, surf or go to sportsclubs such as The Shore, Hart Beach and Aloha or The Hague Beach Stadium.

City Farms

For the ultimate Dutch experience you can stay at Boerderij Akkerlust. But another option is to visit the city farms in The Hague on a Sunday. Not only fun but also an educational day out with the children, activities are organized often or you can attend feedingtimes.
