Where is barbecuing not allowed?
Places where barbecuing is not allowed: The Japanese Garden, The Rosarium, Park De Verademing, and the Westduinpark. At locations where barbecuing is prohibited, this is clearly indicated. Forest ranger Simon indicates that it's not allowed in the Westduinpark due to protected nature. You're not allowed to leave the paths and therefore not allowed to barbecue. This also applies to the Rosarium in the Westbroekpark. In the city park De Verademing, there are too many playing children, making it no longer safe.
Handy tips for barbecuing in the park
Always use a barbecue on legs; placing it directly on the grass is not allowed as it damages the grass. Only dispose of glowing coals once they have cooled down, or use the special coal bins available at some locations. Waste such as food scraps and packaging belongs in the trash bin. If it's full, take your garbage home. This prevents nuisance from vermin and keeps the park clean for everyone.
