Centrum
The vibrant city centre of The Hague has more to offer than the Binnenhof and Noordeinde Palace. Shop at large well-known chain shops near the Grote Marktstraat or small boutiques, sit down on one of the many cosy squares and wander into the Mauritshuis, Escher in het Paleis or one of the other museums. Everything is at walking distance from each other, so convenient!

Schilderswijk - A cultural melting pot
From the centre of The Hague, you can walk straight into the Schilderswijk. A lively and colourful district, where you can immerse yourself in different cultures and tastes. You can enjoy delicious food and drinks in the many catering establishments here. One of the district's highlights is the Haagse Markt, one of the largest open-air markets in Europe. Here you will find an abundance of fresh produce, herbs, spices and exotic delicacies from all corners of the world.

Zeeheldenkwartier is one of The Hague's cosiest city districts. It is the neighbourhood where you will find many authentic shops, friendly restaurants and cafés, sunny squares and beautiful art nouveau buildings. No wonder the Zeeheldenkwartier is very popular with locals in The Hague. Definitely worth a visit if you want something different!

Regentessekwartier - Popular with students and young families
The Regentessekwartier is a cosy and lively neighbourhood in the heart of The Hague. This neighbourhood has a historic character and is characterised by beautiful art nouveau architecture and stately mansions. The area is popular with young families as well as students and expats because of its central location and various amenities. There are numerous nice shops, cosy restaurants and cafés and the city centre is within walking distance.

Statenkwartier - Special architectural styles
Statenkwartier is a chic neighbourhood with wide avenues and beautiful architecture, mainly built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Frederik Hendriklaan (De 'Fred') - almost one kilometre long - is one of the most beautiful shopping streets in the Netherlands with numerous bookstores, cafés and restaurants. This district is also home to the Kunstmuseum, Museon-Omniversum and World Forum.

Binckhorst - Industrial and a raw edge
The Binckhorst is an up-and-coming district in The Hague. Originally an industrial area, it is now a hip and trendy neighbourhood known for its great catering establishments (with real Hague hotspots, don't miss them!) and striking street art.

Scheveningen - A breath of fresh air at sea
The great thing about The Hague is that from the city centre, you are right on the beach with your feet! Scheveningen is a great place to visit all year round. End a day of shopping in the city centre with a dinner at a beach bar or a refreshing dip in the water and combine an evening at the theatre with a walk along the long boulevard. Life never stands still in Scheveningen! Tip: From the centre, or other parts of The Hague, take the tram, bike or (shared) scooter.
Kijkduin - Taste the freedom
In many ways, Kijkduin is smaller-scale than Scheveningen, but this also gives this seaside resort its charm! If you want to find some peace and quiet, you can be in the dunes within minutes. The ideal place for a brisk walk or cycle ride. You can cycle straight through the dunes to Scheveningen. There is also plenty to do for children in Kijkduin!
