Time to get into the Christmas spirit! On this first Sunday of December, there is an Advent concert by the National Women's Youth Choir with star harpist Gwyneth Wentink who combines a capella works from Finland and Scandinavia with a true Christmas classic - A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten.
The choir has acquired an international reputation – performances in Mahler’s third with the Berliner Philharmoniker and LA Philharmonic are among its many prestigious achievements. The choir is a master of an unparalleled, if not enchanting, sound that is as pure as it is magical. Repertoire and performers that perfectly suit the month of December and the acoustics of the Nieuwe Kerk.
