In Home Sweet Home, writer and performer Başak Layiç transforms the housing crisis into a biting courtroom drama. She is accused of a serious crime. Of course she didn't do it, but to prove it, she takes you through the housing situation that has affected her humanity, lease by lease. Between personal testimonies, projected 'evidence' and the cold verdicts of the law, she exposes the absurd survival tactics behind every so-called 'home': the silent collapses, the passive-aggressive notes, the stolen toilet paper... Too many moves. One last mistake. The performance asks: How far would you go for a home?
