Australian-Taiwanese pianist and composer Belle Chen's album Ravel In The Forest offers an enchanting blend of neo-classical music, electronic sounds and natural noises. Notes fall like raindrops, melodies ripple through electronic landscapes and take the listener on a journey through ancient forests and tropical treetops.

A musical journey through nature

On the Platoon label, Belle Chen creates an imaginary world full of birds, dragonflies and chameleons, an ode to nature and its rhythms. Her music moves between silence and storm, between classical and modern, inviting listeners to engage all their senses.

Award-winning artist with international recognition

After a standing ovation at the EFG London Jazz Festival 2024, Belle is praised as ‘original and provocative’ and ‘a discovery’ – according to music icon Brian Eno. Her album reached 7th place in the British Official Chart (Specialist Classical) and 15th place in the Australian ARIA Chart (Classical).

Unique solo performance

During her performance, Belle Chen will play songs from Ravel In The Forest as well as new work. Expect a compelling experience in which classical virtuosity, synthesiser textures and free improvisation come together. An evening for lovers of Ravel, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi – and for anyone who wants to be carried away by the power of music and imagination.
