Bellitoni performs Bruckner 8
Classical music
Bruckner's Symphony No 8 is a mighty edifice and an exhilarating journey from darkness to light. Bruckner was a very pious man and honoured God with grand musical cathedrals. And this monumental symphony is the perfect example.
Using simple motifs and themes as building blocks, he created grand forms. The world of the Eighth Symphony is by turns complex, lovely, peaceful and turbulent - Bruckner invites you in, takes you away and does not let you go. Chief conductor Jurjen Hempel is a great lover of Anton Bruckner's music and will show it in this performance with 100 musicians on stage.
The Hague Symphony Orchestra Bellitoni celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2024 and organises two concert tours along venues in the Randstad per year. The enthusiasm and drive of the orchestra members are reflected in the high level of the concerts, which has earned the orchestra a prominent place in the amateur circuit of the Netherlands.
