Four dancers seek a home in the skewed housing market.

About the performance

A dance performance inspired by the skewed housing market. The housing shortage is driving many people to despair. We cram ourselves into 7 m² broom cupboards, pay exorbitant rents and put up with mouldy bathrooms because there is nothing better available. In the acrobatic dance performance RUIM, we see four dancers gliding, shifting, climbing and squeezing their way through their limited space. Between the crooked walls and piled-up furniture, a world of discomfort is revealed, but fortunately we also see the resilience and creativity of these twenty-somethings skyrocket.

And once all the dust has settled, the pressing question remains: what makes a home a home, and what are you willing to give up for it?

With individual acrobatic feats and astonishing teamwork that demonstrates great daring and blind trust in each other... The spectacle of MAMM is unforgettable.
