Kamerkoor Lux en New European Ensemble - Berliner Messe
On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, Chamber Choir Lux will present a unique programme around Arvo Pärt's Berliner Messe, accompanied by the New European Ensemble
Intimate and overwhelming sounds
In the Berliner Messe, the tintinnabuli technique characteristic of Pärt can be clearly heard, and intimate duets alternate with overwhelming choral sounds. In addition to the Berliner Messe, pieces by Kreek, Bortniansky, Čopi and Vasks will be heard.
The concert will be explained by well-known musicologist Leo Samama and the lighting will be provided by Harmen van ‘t Loo.
It promises to be a very special experience, in which the performers want to show how music can connect and bring light (literally and figuratively), especially in these times of unrest, uncertainty and rising tensions.
