Interior of a museum with various paintings on the wall

Artist Mansour Bakhtiar was born in Iran, where his artistic talent became apparent at an early age. As a child, he made drawings that immediately caught the attention of his mother, who recognised and encouraged his talent. His work adorned the walls of their home from an early age, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for art.

Where the myth remembers, and the child begins. At the Threshold of Two Realms

A unique style full of depth and reflection

Mansour began his professional career as an artist in 1981. Two years later, he left Iran and settled in the Netherlands, where he continued to develop as a self-taught artist. This transition marked the beginning of a search for identity, freedom and the role of art in a changing world.

Over the years, Mansour has developed his own style in which the human condition takes centre stage. His work explores philosophical and socio-psychological themes and invites the viewer to reflect and engage in dialogue.

For Mansour, art is more than expression. It is a form of thinking. Each painting, sculpture or drawing arises from questions about life, humanity and our relationships with others. This quest gives rise to works that feel both personal and universal.
