A portrait of a man with a blurred background and markings on it.

Pulchri Studio offers recently graduated artists the opportunity to showcase their work in their first solo exhibition. This edition focuses on Pip Greenaway. She graduated in 2025 from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.

During the exhibition, Greenaway is presenting an installation in which visitors can actively participate. In the project, visitors are invited to briefly take on the role of a fictional family member. These temporary roles last between one and five minutes.

The work explores how the family functions as a system of care, expectations and relationships. Central to this is the question of how people deal with presence and absence within family relationships. The installation moves between fiction and reality and leaves room for personal interpretation.

Greenaway works with video, installation and performance. Her work explores how people assume roles in everyday life and how identity is formed. Her installations bring together image, sound and space.
