Young attractive Tony Manero comes from a poor immigrant family and grows up in Brooklyn, New York. He and his friends dream of the unattainable Manhattan, across the river. Every Saturday night, they escape daily reality at the disco ‘2001 Odyssey’.
Tony is the king of the dance floor, adored by women and a role model for all the boys.When he meets the beautiful Stephanie Mangano one night, he drops his regular dance partner Annette.After several dramatic events and confrontations with his family and friends, he decides to make the move with her to successful and vibrant Manhattan.
