The Carnival of Futuristic Animals
The Carnival of Futuristic Animals is a musical spectacle inspired by A treatise in evolution from one of Netherlands’ most iconic scientists: Dutch theoretical physicist and professor at Utrecht University, Gerard ’t Hooft.
Throughout the years, Dr. ’t Hooft produced a series of drawings portraying futuristic creatures inspired by how animals might evolve. His fantastic drawings sparked the imagination of The Spaceship Ensemble to develop a music program that will be reminiscent of Le Carnaval des Animaux by Camille Saint-Saens; each movement of the piece portrays one of ’t Hooft’s creatures.
They have shown this performance in Korzo before as a work-in-progress during Festival Dag in de Branding. Now they're bringing a complete version back to Korzo!
