The Hague Jazz Project - Jazz em Brasse
21 Sep - 21 Dec
Jazz
Twice a month on Sunday afternoons, PDNK organises a free jazz concert on Amare's Kunstenplein, in collaboration with Open Amare and Brasserie Amare.
The programme 'Jazz with a bluesy touch' is a perfect blend of swinging jazz with a bluesy edge and sophisticated songs that touch your heart. The most beautiful songs by Nina Simone, Otis Redding, Peggy Lee, Sonny Rollins, Billie Holiday, Robert Johnson, Ma Rainey, Blind Willie Johnson, among others, with special attention to Ray Charles and original work. All pieces are arranged with plenty of room for the intimate, transparent and dynamic sound that is characteristic of Carmen Gomes Inc.
The blues as a colour and common thread in a small, refined, up-close concert. These talented musicians play so close to you that every sound and every emotion feels personal, as if you are part of the music itself.

Since then, he has performed all over the world and toured with, among others, Dutch Swing College Band, Fra Fra Sound, Scott Hamilton, Louis van Dijk, David Murray and Lester Bowie. - Sunday 26 October: Ben van den Dungen / Rik Mol Quintet
Ben van den Dungen and Rik Mol meet again after many years during this unique concert. The two form a special combination of musical personalities that only jazz can bring together.
