Under the name 'Zuiderpark Live', concert organizer Greenhouse Talent and the Zuiderparktheater foundation are once again organizing a series of events this summer in the atmospheric open-air theater Zuiderparktheater in The Hague.
On Thursday 5 June 2025, Public Image Ltd. (PiL) will take to the stage at the Zuiderparktheater during Zuiderpark Live. Frontman John Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols, will come to The Hague with his legendary post-punk formation for a rare performance full of raw energy, uncompromising lyrics and underground classics.
Since its foundation in 1978, PiL has left a lasting impression with albums such as First Issue and Metal Box, and singles such as Public Image, Rise and This Is Not a Love Song. Lydon's characteristic voice and anti-establishment attitude are still the beating heart of the band, supplemented by an all-star line-up of top musicians from the alternative scene
Support act The Jacques The evening will be opened by the British band The Jacques, brothers Finn and Elliot O’Brien and multi-instrumentalist Harry Thomas, who have already performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, Eurosonic and Reeperbahn with their unique mix of indie and avant-garde guitar pop.
