Lecture/debate
Tumult 1974-2024
2024 is a new bead to a string of turbulent years. Recent events highlight the importance of the enduring question: can we learn lessons from the past?
Historical political turning points
In this context, Studium Generale takes you on a 50-year journey back in time to 1974, a year that also saw major political turning points with global impact. Four of these historical political turning points, in Greece, Cyprus, the United States and Ethiopia, are highlighted in this lecture series. Your question: do reflections on the causes and consequences of these events provide more insight into the complexity of today's geopolitical landscape?
