In the exhibition Between the Mountains and the Sea, artist Antoinet Deurloo presents installations and paintings exploring humanity, nature and change. The exhibition is on display in the Garden Gallery at Pulchri Studio.

In this solo exhibition, ‘Between the Mountains and the Sea’, Antoinet Deurloo presents three installations from different phases of her career, which illustrate how her work and themes have evolved over the years:

*Kindred Spirits* (2008 & 2026) consists of 83 humanoid paper sculptures, each representing one hundred million people, and reflects on overpopulation and our consumer society.

The Age of Change (2020 & 2026) features 75 porcelain landscapes, some abstract, others featuring organic and human-like forms, including dark, cracked pieces that collectively reflect on our current times.

Jungle (2021–present) consists of gestural paintings on paper in which colour and movement take centre stage; they are a dynamic exploration of the interface between humanity and nature, where chaos and order converge.

In May, Deurloo will give an artist talk about her work and creative process. Date and time to be confirmed.
