WTC The Hague Art Gallery presents a duo exhibition with painters Lucius Pax and Karel Dicker. The exhibition features some 20 works featuring still lifes, landscapes, reflections, paintings on paper and poignant scenes.

Lucius Pax is an artist from The Hague who graduated from the KABK. Lucius Pax's paintings depict an alternative world, not entirely without humour, sometimes starring the artist's own alter ego. His paintings stem from his childhood memories from the 1970s of watching German crime shows. Lucius Pax lived in Germany for 11 years in his youth.

Karel grew up in an artist family (from the famous Eyck family) in South Limburg and has been painting all his life. Although a difficult student, disobedient and headstrong, he graduated from St Luke's and the Maastricht Art Academy. Dicker's art is a reflection of the painter himself. Equally disobedient and headstrong. Karel Dicker paints still-life series. Expressionist scenes of deserted tables with booze, smokes and drugs and the longing back to the Burgundian tables in the cafés of the fin de siècle.

The exhibition will be festively opened on Thursday, 17 November (5-7pm). The exhibition will run until Saturday, December 31.
