Crossing Border Kids: Davide Morosinotto
On Friday, May 8, 2026, author Davide Morosinotto will be a guest at Crossing Border Kids in The Hague. During this event, he will present his book The Legendary Treasure of Hell Gate.
The program starts with a reading in both Dutch and English. This is followed by a workshop in which children create their own adventure. The focus is on how a small detail can grow into an exciting story, inspired by real history.
In the book, five children discover a key in a matchbox. This leads them to a hidden treasure at the bottom of the East River in New York, near the wreck of the British ship HMS Hussar, which sank in 1780.
