Dutch Landscapes - Simone Stawic
From June 25th until July 5th 2020, the exhibition 'Dutch Landscapes' by Simone Stawicki is shown at ANNA @ KV2, Korte Vijverberg 2 in The Hague, The Netherlands. The paintings are mixed media and are characterized by the intense use of colour, the light and the technique.
Simone Stawicki celebrates her 30th anniversary as a visual artist with the special exhibition 'Dutch Landscapes'. Her work is known for intensive use of colour, clear brushstrokes and a mix of subjects and space to express a message. It tells a story and stimulates thought. Therefore she considers her work as a language; communicating from one heart to another heart. The way it is painted is the handwriting. Every stroke, every line and every colour is thought through and its impact on the overall message is considered.
The silence of the Loosdrecht Lakes in the early morning are the inspiration for most the landscapes. The water, the light and the reeds together create an almost abstract language. The forests in 't Gooi also show the light that finds its way in the dense forests, creating an atmosphere, a silence.
Stawicki combines acrylic paint with acrylic ink and pastel. She regularly uses a water gun filled with paint on canvas and she draws with pastel in the wet paint.
The exhibition 'Dutch Landscapes' by Simone Stawicki is shown at ANNA @ KV2 Korte Vijverberg 2, The Hague, The Netherlands. It is open on Thursdays to Sundays from 12 PM to 5 PM. Admission is free. More information can be found at www.simonestawicki.com.
