Archive and Constellation is an exhibition by Argentine artist Gabriela Acha, who has been living in The Hague for the past eight years. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, with a Master's degree in ArtScience, Gabriela has exhibited her work in more than nine countries and performed in various international contexts. In this project, however, she turns her gaze inward, to the city that has become her artistic home.
The exhibition is more than just an exhibition; it is a constellation, a network of lives and stories, highlighting the presence of female artists who have lived and worked in the city and shaped its cultural landscapes. With the support of the City of The Hague, Gabriela started a research project that seeks to uncover and reflect on the contributions of these women – women whose labour, creativity and courage often remained invisible, unknown or even erased.
