Jonas Bendiksen - The Book of Veles
Norwegian Magnum photographer and World Press Photo winner Jonas Bendiksen is making waves internationally with his groundbreaking work The Book of Veles.
This temporary exhibition builds on this photo book and leaves the viewer with the question: is what I see real or not?
Bendiksen receives praise, but also criticism. He himself is accused of spreading fake news. It all turns out to be part of this intriguing project. Inspired by the mythical Slavic god Veles, he explores the boundaries of truth and reality in photography. As a visitor you are confronted with the question: what do I actually see and read and what can and do I still want to trust?
A museum ticket automatically gives access to this temporary exhibition. On Thursday November 3rd at 8 pm Jonas Bendiksen will give a lecture about his work in Beeld & Geluid in The Hague.
