Take an evening stroll past projections on windows and facades during the new Sleepy Eyes Film Festival on Westeinde in The Hague.

From 6 to 14 February 2026, Westeinde in The Hague will be transformed into an open-air cinema with special film screenings. Every evening from 8 p.m., short films will be shown on more than 100 building facades, visible to everyone passing by on winter evenings.

Video art by international artists

The Sleepy Eyes Film Festival showcases contemporary video art by international artists. The films are projected without sound from inside onto the windows of shops, homes and workspaces. This gives the street a different character: from shopping area to artistic walking route.

An expert jury selected fifteen films from more than 450 entries. The works challenge viewers to look at film differently and touch on themes such as night, the city and everyday life. In this way, public space becomes a place for reflection and imagination.
