A woman dances with a translucent fabric in twilight.

How do we, as human beings, stand in the world?

About the performance

What stories and myths do people tell themselves? And what happens when they let go of them? Together with six performers, composer-director Mees Vervuurt envelops you in A Myth, a dreamlike musical performance featuring beautiful vocals by Arturo den Hartog and Anat Spiegel, movement, percussion and brass instruments.

And amid all this dreaminess, one of the most persistent myths of our time is called into question: that humans are central and nature is something outside of humans. Echoing voices sound in the distance. A trombone calls out from the darkness. A screaming siren distorts into angelic singing. Someone pulls a piano forward. Everything you try to grasp slips through your fingers. Discover how instruments can be played differently and sit on the edge of your seat to hear how it really is.
