Aveda is a well-known name in The Hague. Located on the Denneweg in a very special building: did you know that this used to be the site of the film house? Nowadays, it is an oasis of luxury and wellness where you can go to the hair salon, beauty salon and for manicures and pedicures. And there is a lot of focus on sustainability. For example, all the hot water is heated by solar energy. Aveda products are environmentally conscious, 100% vegan and, of course, animal-tested.

At Hart Beach, there is a unique pop-up Kuuma sauna on the beach open to all daily. Book a spot and boost your day with a relaxing sauna session. Cool off under the dump bucket or dive into the waves and you'll be good to go!

The products sold at Babassu are often familiar to people from luxury department stores abroad. Besides the extensive international product range, the second floor also has an area for wellness treatments, for you alone or romantic as a couple.

The Body Shop - Passage 49

The Body Shop has long sold animal-friendly cosmetics and natural personal care products. All products are 100% vegan, certified by The Vegan Society. Did you know that there is also a beauty salon above the shop in the Passage? So you can relax after a morning of shopping! The salon offers facials, waxing and massages. Of course, The Body Shop products are used during a treatment.

At Amilda Wellness Boutique, pampering is key, from luxurious massages to sophisticated facials. As Amilda herself says, "visit us once and stay with us forever".

Monastic Store - Oude Molstraat 35

At the Monastic Store on Oude Molstraat, the brothers of Sint Jan sell not only home-brewed beer but also natural cosmetics products made by nuns living in silence in France. Nice to know that at number 35 above the Monastic Store is the tucked-away Willibrordus Chapel. The shop is open Thursday to Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.

Unwind with yoga on the beach

Yoga on the beach, with the sound of the sea in the background and the wind in your face, is the best way to start or end your day! There are many different beach yoga providers in Scheveningen. For example, at Helder Yoga and the Dolfijn. Yoga classes are also often organised at beach club Het Puntje and Beach Pavilion Zuid. The beach yoga season usually starts in April and ends at the end of September, depending on the weather, of course.

Yoga in the Palace Garden

Royal relaxation in the Palace Garden! From May to September, Balanzs Den Haag will offer free yoga classes every Sunday morning at 10:30 am in Paleistuin. Anyone can join, from young to old and from beginners to advanced. A wonderful start to Sunday!

Wellness in hotels

There is so much nature in The Hague and Scheveningen. Blow out along the beach and soak up the fresh salty sea air. Stroll through the dunes, enjoy the air of hyacinths in the Hyacinth Forest on Landgoed Ockenburgh or for a fee in Park Sorghvliet.

The Palace Garden in the centre of The Hague is also an oasis of tranquillity and the former regularly hosts yoga classes. Or order a picnic basket at Pistache, diagonally opposite the Paleistuin and enjoy it in the park.
