It was the 'talk of the town' in 1993 when Nirvana came to perform on MTV's legendary 'Unplugged' series. This acoustic performance is etched in our collective memory and still captures many new hearts.
Besides their own work, the band played covers of The Vaselines, Meat Puppets, Lead Belly and, of course, David Bowie's beautifully raw 'The Man Who Sold the World'. His performance breathed the vulnerability and pain that have always been the common thread in his songs. It was one of Nirvana's last performances: five months later, Cobain was found dead, marking the end of the most influential grunge bands of the 1990s. Legendary Albums Live invites the LA-Live band for a poignant remake of one of the most iconic performances in rock history.
