Together for a Better The Hague - Together at Home
On Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., PEP The Hague, in collaboration with the Residentie Orkest, Cultuurschakel, Open Amare, Volunteer The Hague, the Municipality of The Hague, and Fonds 1818, will organize its third Volunteer Job Fair & Music Festival at Amare in The Hague.
Under the motto “Together for a Better The Hague - Together at Home,” we’re bringing residents, community organizations, and amateur artists together to strengthen interaction, collaboration, and connection in the city.
During the event, over 100 community organizations will be present, all looking for volunteers. They are active in a wide range of sectors, including social services, the environment, sports, animal welfare, and culture. There is something for every resident to discover, regardless of background or experience. Many roles do not require fluency in Dutch.
What can you expect?
During this afternoon, visitors will not only have the opportunity to learn about volunteer work, but also enjoy performances by amateur music and dance groups from The Hague. In addition, you will be able to purchase snacks and drinks from various cultures.
The event will be officially opened by the mayor of The Hague at 1:00 p.m.
The Together at Home Volunteer Job Fair & Music Festival offers a unique opportunity to connect with organizations in an accessible way, meet new people, and discover how you can contribute to the city. Volunteering not only offers the chance to make a difference, but also to gain new skills, expand your network, and become an active part of The Hague’s community.
This won’t be just any volunteer fair: it will be an afternoon full of new opportunities and connections!
With this event, the organizers aim to contribute to a city w here people find and support one another and work together to build an inclusive and engaged community.
