Aftersea showcases how Scheveningen changes as day turns to evening and the beach takes on a different atmosphere. The festival marks the transition from summer to late summer and offers a cultural programme at unique seaside venues.

During the festival, various stages and cultural venues will open their doors to offer a varied programme. Visitors can enjoy live music, film, art and other unique experiences. The programme is suitable for different generations and audiences.

Who are the participants in Aftersea?

Participants in the festival include Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus, REBORN Whitehouse, Podium aan Zee, Hito, Muzee, Beelden aan Zee, The Fat and Nationaal Monument Oranjehotel. Aftersea invites visitors to discover Scheveningen in a different way, with a programme that shows the seaside resort is full of life even outside the peak season.

Official opening at the Oranjehotel

Aftersea will be officially opened at the Oranjehotel National Monument. During this special opening evening, culture, music and socialising will come together in an inspiring programme. Visitors can enjoy impressive spoken word performances, a contemporary dance performance by Korzo and an atmospheric live performance by The Hague-based band Meyendel. The opening thus marks a fitting start to a festival that centres on the connection between the sea, culture and freedom.
