The Dresden Connection

Capella Sine Nomine and the baroque orchestra Concerto Valiante are joining forces. Together they will present the programme The Dresden Connection, featuring music by Jan Dismas Zelenka, Antonio Lotti and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

In the 18th century, Dresden was a vibrant musical centre, where composers from all over Europe found their way to the court of the Electors of Saxony. Among them were the Italian Antonio Lotti, the Bohemian composer and pupil of Lotti, Jan Dismas Zelenka, and the famous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

This concert demonstrates how composers from different countries and traditions inspired each other. Their music has stood the test of time: what once resounded in the court church of Dresden now echoes on a Sunday afternoon in The Hague and Oegstgeest.

Tickets are available via concertovaliante@ziggo.nl or by telephone on 06-23867050. You will then receive written confirmation of your reservation. The tickets will be waiting for you at the entrance to the church on the day of the concert. After the concert in The Hague, you are welcome to stay for refreshments and a chat with the singers.
