After the lightness and gaiety of the Groupe des Six, socially engaged artists are rising, such as Castérède, Jolivet and Lesur, who are storming international stages with a more human and less abstract way of composing. Together with the renowned and versatile pianist Paolo Giacometti, Ciconia is venturing into Castérède's romantic piano concerto, previously performed with acclaim in 2022 and now on its way to a CD recording.
