Just Peace Festival

From 12 to 26 June is the Just Peace Festival - a dynamic and inspiring platform for dialogue, collaboration and action around the pressing global issues of peace and justice! An open forum, a space where everyone has a voice in shaping a more just, peaceful and fair future.

Don't miss it, this will be a festival full of creativity, inspiration and impact!

Road to Summit

The festival is the culmination of The Hague’s Road to Summit programme and is a collaborative initiative founded by The Hague Humanity Hub, Leiden University and the Municipality of The Hague.

The programme is well under way! You can expect a series of inspiring Movie Nights in collaboration with The Hague Library, covering a diverse range of thought-provoking topics; even more captivating screenings with partners like Cordaid and III Europe; a powerful exhibition, The Freedom That I Breathe, presented by our partner NGO DEI; and a lineup of engaging Just Peace Dialogues that promise meaningful conversations and fresh perspectives. The full programme will be available in May.

Road to Summit is a city-wide programme launched by the City of The Hague in January. It brings together a diverse range of activities and events that spotlight peace and justice leading up to the NATO Summit in The Hague in June.

What is the Just Peace Festival?

In today’s interconnected world, where armed conflict, inequality, environmental threats, and social divides threaten democracy and global stability, the Just Peace Festival brings together citizens, experts, artists, policymakers, and activists.

Through interactive sessions, workshops, exhibitions, and performances, the festival celebrates efforts toward peace, fosters meaningful conversations, and inspires collective action.

The Just Peace Festival touches upon six themes:

  1. Peace and Justice
  2. Democracy
  3. Inclusion, (In)Equality and Diversity
  4. Climate and Resilience
  5. International Rule of Law
  6. (Cyber)Resilience

Find descriptions of the themes here.

It is the perfect opportunity to come together, discover new perspectives and actively contribute to a better, more just world.
Don't miss it, this will be a festival full of creativity, inspiration and impact!
