The Hague hosts the International Film Festival The Hague from 7 to 9 November.

Amazing journey through world cinema

The seventh edition of the International Film Festival will once again take place at the Koorenhuis. The films shown are stories that are profound, emotional, funny, courageous and inspiring. Since many of these creations are not commercially available and are not shown in large cinemas, this is a unique opportunity to watch carefully selected films from all over the world: from Cambodia and the US to the Netherlands, India and South Korea. Watch them here now and talk about them for months to come.

Jury & Awards

The film festival jury has the great honour and responsibility of selecting and awarding the best films in categories such as Avant Garde, Mental Health, Adult Content, Mysteries of Souls, LGBTQIA+, Human Rights and many more. In addition to the traditional awards for ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Actor’, the IFFH also presents special jury awards to a number of outstanding entries.

Workshops

In addition to film screenings, the festival offers workshops/masterclasses on fascinating topics such as writing a successful script, acting, cinematography and practical strategies for producers to obtain financial support. These sessions and networking opportunities have led to several successful film projects. These collaborations between individual filmmakers have contributed to the festival's glory and have proven it to be a catalyst for creativity and success in the industry.
