The Hague trio Jimding will be performing an eclectic mix of blues, roots and Americana at Café de Stulp on Saturday evening, 1 November. Jimding tongue-in-cheek describes its repertoire as consisting of 'sexy shuffles, questionable love songs, uprooted roots and urban country & western tunes, raw rock 'n' roll and various other musical treats'.
Jimding brings together three seasoned old souls: blues growler Jim Wake, bassist Nico Hart, and percussionist John den Exter. In an extensive repertoire of their own compositions, Jimding ponders and broods about love and loss, trial and error, betrayal and farewell, the sublime and the ridiculous, served up as a cocktail of irony, annoyance and appreciation for the absurdities of life.
