Are you interested in art and would you like to get in touch with artists in a casual atmosphere? Then come to the Open Ateliers in the Duinoord, Zeeheldenkwartier and Regentessekwartier districts.
A unique look into the studios of creative makers
Be surprised by the work of painters, draftsmen, etchers, sculptors, photographers, jewelry makers, ceramists, textile and glass artists. With many of the artists you can also see in their studio how the work is made and thus get an insight into the daily life of the artist. You can talk to the artists about their work and admire their work. And of course it is also possible to purchase a work of art directly from the artist. You are very welcome from 12:00 to 18:00 at many locations.
Overview exhibition
Want to first get an idea of what's on show during the weekend? Then visit the retrospective at Artgallery/Makelaardij Koenders, as a work by each artist hangs or stands here. Due to its central location, Artgallery Koenders is also a great starting point for your walk or bike ride during the Open Ateliers weekend. The retrospective exhibition runs from Monday 5 June to Tuesday 17 June. The gallery can be found at 2e Schuytstraat 164/corner Reinkenstraat, and is open both days from 12.00 to 18.00.
