Piero Zuccaro - Visual Meditation
8 Aug - 10 Aug
Exhibition
Pulchri Studio proudly presents the exhibition Piero Zuccaro - Visual Meditation, on view from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 10 August 2025 in the Weissenbruch Hall. The opening will take place on Saturday 19 July and will be hosted by the artist himself.
In his most recent work, Piero Zuccaro focuses on the interaction between light and space within mainly sacred architecture. Both outer and inner light are at the heart of his visual research. The southern, almost white glowing light that pervades his canvases evokes a mystical experience of purity and stillness - an “absolute whiteness” that invites contemplation.
Zuccaro's painting technique has evolved in the process. On a robust ground, he applies thin, transparent layers, resulting in a tension between presence and negation of matter. The layer of paint almost seems to light up from within, spreading across the entire surface like a radiant energy.
This exhibition invites visitors to a special sensory experience in which painting, music and poetry meet. Previous exhibitions have shown how this interplay adds a deeper layer to looking, listening and feeling - an invitation to “Visual Meditation”: a meditative journey through colour, light and sound.
With Visual Meditation, Zuccaro brings together his latest works in a new context, creating space for stillness, wonder and dialogue.
