About Paul de Mol
Paul de Mol (1947) was a teacher at the Academy for Visual Arts in Tilburg.
He studied at Ateliers '63 in Haarlem, where he met Frans Zwartjes, swapped painting and graphic art for film and went to the Free Academy in The Hague to study it. He was one of the first Dutch visual artists to become involved in film. He organised the Experiment in Dutch Film at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (1985) and later expanded his field of research to theatre (including Mickery, Amsterdam). He operates at the intersection of different artistic disciplines, including as an organiser.
