Zuiderpark Live - Waterboys

Concert organizer Greenhouse Talent and the Zuiderparktheater foundation are organizing a series of events again this summer under the name 'Zuiderpark Live' in the atmospheric open-air theater Zuiderparktheater in The Hague.

Frontman Mike Scott is regarded as one of the best British songwriters of the past 40 years: famous artists such as Ellie Goulding, Rod Stewart and Prince have covered songs by the now 61-year-old legend. The Waterboys were already causing a furore in the eighties with the world hit 'The Whole Of The Moon', from the successful album 'This Is The Sea'. The mix of country, gospel and Irish folk made the men's music groundbreaking and distinctive. Scott then went solo in the early 1990s, but after the turn of the millennium he went back to playing under the name The Waterboys.

In May 2019, the latest uptempo album 'Where The Action Is' was released, on which guitars and Hammond organs are not to be missed. The Waterboys have always been known for their versatility, but on this album they even venture into rap. In short: a varied and adventurous spectacle.
