During The Lord of the Rings, Mystery Ensemble takes you on a musical journey through Middle-earth. The concert takes place in the historic Grote Kerk, right in the centre of The Hague.
The music of Howard Shore
The music was composed by the Canadian composer Howard Shore for the film trilogy The Lord of the Rings. For his work on the trilogy, Shore received three Academy Awards, two Golden Globes and three Grammy Awards.
During the concert, the well-known melodies from the films are brought back to life. The music is combined with elven singing and references to ancient folklore.

Mystery Ensemble brings the atmosphere and stories from Tolkien’s world to the Grote Kerk. Elves sing, hobbits dance and the shadows of Mordor loom in the distance. The music takes centre stage, bringing to life the mystery and the different atmospheres of Middle-earth.
