Courgette

An incredible, heartfelt story with a 21st-century Oliver Twist vibe. Following a family accident, Icare, aka Courgette ( Zucchini), finds himself in a "home for damaged children" where he meets Simon, Ahmed and the mysterious Camille.
There, where play and poetry become a necessity, they learn to build themselves up, to "rise up" and to "sew" their hearts back together... And then there's Raymond, the constable, who gradually takes on the role of surrogate father, and who, thanks to Courgette, also regains a taste for life... A sparkling adaptation for the stage, with a musical comedy feel, of Gilles Paris's novel Autobiographie d'une Courgette. Set against a monumental scenery, five actors-musicians-singers bring the various characters to life. Accessible from age 10.
Please note that the performance is in French without subtitles.
