Pia Jaeyoon Kim - Fluffy Asteroid
The inspiration for this project comes from asteroids floating through space. These celestial bodies, unable to become planets, wander the vastness of the universe, attracted by the gravity of nearby planets and eventually disintegrating, or they continue to wander as nameless asteroids.
Fascinated by my long-standing interest in the cosmos, I felt a resonance with these asteroids. Countless other asteroids fill the vast space of the universe, whether they form planetary clusters despite their origin in cosmic dust, have been named ‘6344 P L’, or remain unnoticed and nameless. I felt a kinship with these unclaimed and nameless celestial bodies, similar to my own position in the vastness of existence.
